Founded in 1892 by the merger of Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End, NUFC has played at its current home ground St James' Park ever since, undergoing major development into an all-seater stadium in the mid 1990s. As one of the biggest brands in football, communications with its fan base is crucial so choosing Prodec Networks was a long process to ensure the right solution was provided.

Newcastle United FC have had a huge following for over a century and the expansion to a massive 52,354 all-seater stadium and Premier League success in the late 90s and early 00s necessitated a state-of-the-art technology experience for staff and fans alike. With the St James' Park stadium, first team training ground and academy all to include in the estate, it was vital that the most reliable technology was deployed to ensure a smooth experience. 

The solution

The technology deployed was Avaya Communications Manager and it delivered interoperability across the Clubs estate. It also provided contact centre functionality for NUFC's ticketing operations at St James' Park.

The results

With market share of over 57% in the UK contact centre space, Avaya were the perfect match.
